Stephen Honor, Ph.D., is in the full time practice of forensic and clinical 
neuropsychology in Smithtown, NY. He is ABPP board certified in:

  • Clinical Neuropsychology (American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology)
  • Forensic Psychology (American Board of Forensic Psychology)
  • Clinical Psychology (American Board of Professional Psychology)

 Consultation for psychological effects of traumatic physical injury
 Consultation for clearance for medical procedures (e.g., SCS)
 Neuropsychological consultation and counseling
 Neuropsychological evaluations for:

  • criminal matters
  • head/brain injury
  • independent medical examinations (e.g., work disability)
  • learning disabilities
  • medical malpractice (consultation and/or evaluations)
  • neurological illness, disease and conditions (e.g., CVA, tumors, etc.)
  • professional tests (e.g., LSATs, MCATs, etc.)

Matrimonial/custodial consultation

Dr. Honor has testified locally and nationally in a number of legal cases, including 
murder, personal injury and custody evaluation. He lectures to professional 
groups including physicians, neuropsychologists, psychologists, attorneys and 
mental health specialists.

Dr. Honor is the insurance chair for the NYSPA Neuropsychology Division, former 
Neuropsychology Division representative to NYSPA council and current Suffolk 
County Psychological Association representative to council. He is 
Neuropsychology Division representative to the NYSPA Insurance Committee, 
and the APA Division 40 (Neuropsychology) co-representative to the 
Interdivisional Health Care Committee. He is a former Federal Advocacy 
Coordinator, also for Division 40. Dr. Honor is a member of the Professional 
Affairs Committee of the New York State Association of Neuropsychologists 
(NYSAN). Finally, he is on the Executive Board of the Suffolk County 
Psychological Association.
